Rupaul's Drag Race Concert Live at State Theatre | Portland – April 13th, 2027

The State Theatre in Portland, Maine, is one of those places that just oozes history and charm, and honestly, you never know what you’re gonna get, sometimes a legendary concert, other times a lively high school basketball game, like back in the 1970s when the Maine state high school tournament called this place home. It’s seen acts from icons like Johnny Cash and Bette Midler, and still manages to surprise with its vibrant spirit. Celebrating its 80th birthday in 2009, the theater threw a party that echoed its long legacy of community and entertainment. Over the years, Halloween themed concerts have become a favorite, with the audience sometimes lucky enough to chat with performers during those intimate front row moments, kind of like being part of the show. Accessibility is no joke here either, with seats thoughtfully placed so everyone gets a great view, often right near the center. If you’re walking from Deering Oaks Park, just head down Park Avenue, and if you’re coming from the north, turn right on High Street to find the State Theatre waiting for you. And for fans of RuPauls Drag Race Portland, this venue is a must-see for those big, fabulous nights when the city really comes alive, making each visit feel like a special event.
